Hi
I'm currently 4 days late. We had sex 7 days before my period last month and I had my period. This month I am late. I am currently taking antibiotics because I have uti. My breasts are painful for almost a week. And I currently have dull headaches. Already took a HPT and the result is negative. Need help.

Hello Anonymous,

A negative hpt result and no unprotected intercourse since your last period rules out being pregnant.

Being ill with a UTI and taking an antibiotic could explain the delay.

Breast tenderness may signal that you ready to start your period soon.

Hello I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend 3 days before my expected period. I am now late & I haven't got my period. I always keep track of my periods & I usually get them no later than the 13th of the month. Can I be pregnant?

Hello Anonymous,

Wait until your period is late by at least one week, then test.

Hello Anonymous,

Having unprotected sex can lead to pregnancy. But since it happened the day before her period was due to start, I think there was no risk because there was no released egg to fertilize.

Stress may be the reason her period is late. She can repeat the test once more. For the most accurate result, she should test in the morning and use the urine when she gets up and first uses the bathroom.

Maryann

Hello soniya,

Well, there is a risk because he did penetrate but less of a risk if he did not ejaculate.
Have you gotten your period yet?
