Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for coming to us with your concern.

Is it causing you pain? Is the area red? Is it hard or soft?

This could be a pilonidal cyst, which is an abnormal pocket in the skin that usually contains hair and skin debris. It is almost always located near the tailbone at the top of the cleft of the buttocks.

Anonymous, you need to be examined by a physician.

Regards,
Maryann
