Reduce or stop the things that cause hair to break off:
Minimize the amount of heat you use on your hair when blow drying.
Decrease the amount of relaxing, coloring and perming you do to your hair.
Avoid some things that cause hair breakages such as chlorine, dirt, and sun.
Stop stressing out your hair (pulling, twirling, tugging, too tight buns or ponytails).
An unbalanced or poor diet can affect your hair, as can illness and certain medications.
