I'm fairly young still and in good shape. I haven't been to the doctor in years, I don't really get sick enough to warrant I a visit to the doctor. Should I be going for regular physicals? How long should I go between doctors visits if I'm not sick.

Hello Lindsay,
It is recommended that young women in their 20s should have an annual exam every five years. During the check up your physician will check your blood pressure, height and weight, and order blood work for cholesterol and diabetes screening.
Women should do a monthly breast self-exam. A complete breast exam should be done by a healthcare provider every 3 years for women ages 20 to 40.
Beginning at age 21, women should have a pelvic exam and Pap smear every 2 years to check for cervical cancer.
