Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for your question.

What vitamin are you referring to?

HIV is the human immunodeficiency virus which causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome or AIDS.

On Nov. 26, 2013 HealthDay News reported that new research from Africa suggested that basic multivitamin and selenium supplements might greatly lower the risk that untreated people with the AIDS virus will get sicker over a two-year period.

Those in the African study hadn't yet begun taking drugs to keep the virus.

Is this what you are asking about?
