I have had vasculitis of the blood vessels with rash since diagnosis June 17, 2017. My back hurts since June 10. Seeing a dermatologist, and rhuematologist not satisfied. Still have rash on all over both legs but no longer itch. Been on prednisone for 6 days, cephalexin, permethrin cream and now doxcycline hyclate. Nauseated and tired.

Hello. Thank you for your message.

Vasculitis is a general term that refers to inflammation of blood vessels. Treatment of vasculitis depends entirely upon diagnosis and the affected organs. When vasculitis is the result of an allergic reaction, it may go away on its own and not require treatment. In other instances, when critical organs such as the lungs, brain, or kidneys are involved, aggressive and timely treatment is necessary.
