How to deal with sex drive? (male)

I am a 23 year old male and masturbated for the first time when I was 15. I continued masturbating till I was 20. After that I wanted to completely stop it as I always felt guilty of watching sexy pictures and masturbating. So I masturbated once an year when I couldn't control myself. But now it makes me feel very depressed. I don't want to masturbate at all forever. How do I do that? And do everyone control like me? Or am I doing something different?

Hi, Anon.

Thank you for your post.

Masturbation (self-pleasure) is natural and normal and nothing to be ashamed of. As long as masturbation is not taking over your life (study, work time or time that you truly need to spend on other things). I see no reason why you can't do it if you like. Some couples enjoy masturbating during sex. Maybe it's not the masturbation, but the kind of images you are looking at that makes you feel it's wrong? Or were you raised to think it's wrong? That is something only you can know.
