Q:

How accurate are watches that track your heart rate through your wrist?

I love being able to track my heart rate while I'm working out. I use to have a watch that syncs to a heart rate band that you strap around your chest but recently purchased a watch that measures heart rate simply from your wrist. While not having to strap something across your body is more comfortable, I'm more concerned about having an accurate reading. Is there any research behind this?
