Q:

To have addison's disease do you need to have all the symptoms?

I have been diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency and am being treated with cortisol and alternative hormone therapy. The doctor has not called it Addison's and I have not asked him outright since my last appointment 2 weeks ago. The only reason I question if its Addison's is because the information that came with the cortisol prescription said it was used for Addison's disease. My symptoms are extreme exhaustion, unclear thinking (not knowing where I am when driving places I've been hundreds of times), sleep deprivation due to fibromyalgia pain, sore and weak muscles. I'm also having accupressure bi-weekly.

Guide

You need to ask your doctor who ordered the diagnostic tests and has the result, made the diagnosis of adrenal insufficiency and ordered the prescription of cortisol.
Not every person exhibits or experiences all the documented symptoms of any particular condition.
