Hello no name,

Your health should be your first priority. Contact your physician either by telephone or internet for any further advice regarding the warts. Do so before you leave for the country.

Hello no name,

Welcome to EmpowHER.

Doxytet contains doxycycline, which is a tetracycline antibiotic. It is used to treat many different bacterial infections, such as urinary tract infections, acne, gonorrhea, chlamydia and intestinal infections.

Type 2 herpes simplex virus causes genital warts. Currently, antiviral medications are the treatment of choice. Antibiotics, such as doxytet, will do nothing since the cause is a virus not a bacteria.

The application of 3%–5% acetic acid, which causes skin color to turn white, has been used by some providers to detect HPV-infected genital mucosa.

No name, when you were seen by a doctor, was anything applied to the area?

Regards,
Maryann
