Hello, Anon!

Thank you for your message today!

For the benefit of our readers, Dexlansoprazole is used to treat certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux). It works by decreasing the amount of acid your stomach makes. It relieves symptoms such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough.

Avoiding trigger foods in your diet can also help along with the medication. Drinking alcohol and smoking may increase acid in your stomach. So, it's advised not to drink alcohol or smoke while you are taking this medicine. How long have you been taking it? It may take several days for your stomach pain to improve. If your condition does not improve or gets worse, contact your healthcare provider.
