Does anyone have any experience using the HCG Weight Loss plan?

I've just met with my doctor about my weight gain. Last year about this time, I went into menopause. I stopped having my period, stopped sleeping through the night, lost a lot of hair, my skin went dry, I noticed patches of brown spots appearing on my face and hands, I lost my interest in intimacy with my husband, I forgot simple things like "why did I walk into this room again?", I was irritable, and I gained about 20 pounds! It was about this time that I read a book by Suzanne Somers called "Breakthrough: Eight Steps to Wellness." She talked about using bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and in a rhythmic dosage rather than a static dosage. I talked to my doctor about it and she prescribed an estriol cream to be taken vaginally 1-2x per week as needed, and a progesterone cream to be taken for two weeks on and two weeks off. She also prescribed melatonin and 5htp to help me sleep. I'd also read about L-Arginine to help with hot flashes. Those things helped but didn't fully alleviate my symptoms so I kept doing research on menopause and it's symptoms. I found a method of dosage and delivery for bio-identical hormone replacement therapy called The Wiley Protocol and asked my doctor about it. She had JUST heard about it herself. So, we agreed to embark on the adventure of trying it to help me. So far it's worked to alleviate all of my symptoms with the exception of my WEIGHT! ARg.

So, I went through the same steps of research and found a hormone called HCG for weight loss, did my homework and learned that my own doctor prescribes it! Thus, starting tomorrow, I will be injecting myself with this hormone that is only produced by pregnant women. Ironically, two other women in my office are also starting this very weight loss plan this week. I'm just looking for others online who have had experience with this and what they have to say about it.

Yeesssss it works. Check HCG chica on you tube. But the diet is not forgiving. Must be really strict. But you do your part it does work. Please have a plan in place once your done with HCG. Otherwise your back at square one. This is not a life style diet. But an amazing jumping off point. Total life changes.( a company) has a product ..Resolution. this help me maintain my loss. Doing it through the dr. Is quite pricey. But to each his own. Good luck

I used the hug for weight loss. It was the most amazing experience. Not only did I lose an amazing amount of weight 250 down to 220 in 2 months, but I felt great. Its a little pricey, but will be doing it again when finances allow!!!

Over the course of 10 mos, I lost 88 lbs on the HCG diet. Within 5 months, I was sleeping 4 hours a night and soon that dwindled to 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. I felt euphoric, and unbeknownst to me, was experiencing an HCG-induced manic episode which led me to suddenly quit my long-term job. I lost nearly everything--my career, the vast majority of my friends, my life savings, my credit…and worst of all, my reputation. I am now 1 1/2 years post-HCG disaster and I still cannot work and I don't know if I ever will. HCG ruined my life, and the doctor who prescribed my injections is still prescribing. I could not live with myself if one more person experienced the nightmare I went through, and since my story has been ignored by the College of Medicine and Federal agencies, with my psychiatrist's encouragement I am pursuing litigation and writing a book.

Thanks so much for your honesty. I have been going back and forth with whether or not to do it. I am 44 years old and travelling out of the country on vacation in 3 weeks and needed a quick way to lose weight. The older I get the more I just want to lose it naturally. I just emailed the clinic that I am scheduled to be at later this morning to cancel. I am going to eat a low calorie diet and continue to exercise several days per week until my trip. I love my health and want to keep it in tact. I hope you get better soon and thanks again for sharing. You may have just saved my Life. I appreciate you for sharing....

You have other issues that the HCG may have brought to the forefront... but is most certainly not the cause. You should seek out a good endocrinologist to get a proper diagnosis.

I am 52 and use Estradiol 0.5 patches to control menopause symptoms... Has anyone been able to combine both & not have any side effects? I need to lose about 40 & have failed at every attempt to lose due to my age... I lost 40 on HCG about 4 years ago, but since started the patch... Experiences please!

I get Estrogen shots (more estrogen than the patch you use) and have no side effects while taking the HCG simultaneously. The first round of HCG I did was before my hysterectomy (and removal of both ovaries) while the 2nd round was after my surgery. I'm 42 now and can honestly say there was no difference between the 2 rounds with me. Hope that helps!

Hi, I started using the HCG pellets on June 15, and have lost only 6lbs, I know I probably should of lost more but I'm not sure if I'm doing anything wrong. Can some one kinda give me a breakdown on the menu of what you ate for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Thank you

I'm wondering if you could tell me where you ordered your HCG pellets from?
