I had unprotected sex today, and he finished inside of me, i've been on depo provera since 8/11 (so 9 days) on planned parenthood it says use another form of birth control for 7 days until the shot is in effect so i continued using the birth control that I was already on when I went to get my shot, the birth control pill, I didn't even end up having sex at all (i did have sex 8/12 but i was protected from the pill i was already taking and didnt have sex for the remainder of the week because sperm only lives for 5 days to be safe because i knew i was on my last week of pills) im just worried the depo shot wasnt in effect yet due to my pills being involved, could it be possible the pill could mess with the depo shot? i waited the entire time until the shot was in effect to have unprotected sex again and for him to finish inside. like i said, i've been on it for 9 days. was i protected?
(by the way, i finished the entire cycle of my first birth control pill pack, by the time i was finished the depo shot was in "effect") i might just be overly worrying but i really like to be ensured about things regarding this situation
