Dental insurance

Why doesn't dental insurance cover more? I'M 61 yrs old and started with problems in 6 th grade as father was in military we constantly moved.
Anyway, so much emphasis is put on "preventative care" that no one pays attention to those of us for one reason or other having serious dental needs that prevention won't fix now.
Anything major only covers 50%, but 50% of one tooth costing $1,000 Is still allot of money when you have 4-5 that need same treatment . Why you wonder on there being that many teeth? Because we've put it off till almost nothing in mouth works because of cost. Is the answer still, "ill fitting dentures (old style VS implant bridges or dentures)?

Guide

Hello, Anon.

Thank you for posting.

I wish I knew the answer to this as well as the solution. Dental care can be very expensive. It seems as we get older the things we need to be covered are often not, or not covered enough. A dentist can go over your options with you (dentures, implants, crowns, etc) based on your specific needs and what is affordable for you.
