Cushings and Lyme Relation?

Can Cushings cause a positive Lyme Western Blot?

I have had 2 positive Urine Free Cortisol tests. They were both only 2.5 points above the normal limit of 50. What can this indicate? Is a positive a positive when it comes for testing for Cushings or is there a certain number that is indicative of Cushings?

Thanks for your guidance :0)

Hi Beth,

Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), the normal range for testing is: 10 - 100 micrograms per 24 hours (mcg/24h). Did you talk to your doctor about your results? What did he/she say? If your results were above 50 - this appears to be in the normal range according to the NIH if it is not above 100. You can read more details here http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003703.htm.

If you have any concerns, please contact your treating physician for follow up.
