I would really like to know if collagen would help the kidneys.

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Collagen is a kind of protein found in the body that binds together to support the body. It makes up about one third of the body's total protein. Collagen helps to keep skin elastic and supports connective tissues in the body as well as joints and cartilage. It also creates a protective layer around the kidneys.

Some studies have shown the link between collagen and better kidney health but not all are conclusive and many are ongoing. A talk with a nephrologist will help you further.

Best,
Susan
