Can you transmit alcohol induced hepatitis to a sexual partner when you dont use protection?

my best friends ex boyfriend told her he has alcohol induced hepatitis.shes worried that it can be spread like the other Hepatitis's,a,b,c, and she has a new boyfriend.she has no internet access so im looking for answers for her.

Your friend does not have to worry. Hepatitis caused by alcohol abuse is not contagious. It is damage done to your liver by alcohol abuse. It is in a way similar to people who end up with cognitive problems from years of abusing drugs. You damage your own body, but not your partner's.
