Can losing 30 pounds cause tailbone pain?

After losing Iver 30 pounds my tailbone has been hurting if I sit for too long it on a hard chair. Is this normal?

Weight can affect this area. You’re also more prone to tailbone problems if you’re overweight. If you lose the weight or lose it quickly, you’ll lose the padding that protects your tailbone and may, then, be more likely to injure it or feel tenderness in that area. Like sitting on a hard bench or sitting too long, etc.

Most of the time, tailbone pain isn’t serious. See your doctor if the pain becomes concerning to you or becomes severe.
