can I take 5000 mg of b 12 or will it hurt me.

I have had a bariatric surgery about 4 yrs ago. Have had stomach trouble every since but lft weights a lot but can hardly eat much especial meat. have been extremely tired lately and have bad bones. How much is to much B12 to help enrgy and fogy brain. I do take vitimans but need b12. is 5000 mg to much.

Why do you want to take such a huge dose? The body does not need that much and it takes weeks for vitamin supplements to start showing real results. Take your time with this - 5000 (mg, are you sure about this dosage?) is an enormous number.

The advised daily supplement is about 3 mcg. Supplment can offer up to 10. You can get these in capsule form at any drug store or health shop.
