Can a dog get head lice

I was told by someone that dogs can get lice her vet says she can’t I have a Maltese she is turning 2 in March and she right now for winter has fluffy cotton hair . My grandkids brought lice to my house we have been treated but not my dog

Yes, dogs can get lice. You will need to call a grooming shop or Vet office to know how to treat them.
