I missed 4 pills in a row then called my doctor so I could renew my pack. They told me I had to try a new type so I did on the 5th day. I had breakthrough bleeding and since it was light I had sex with my significant other a few days and he ejaculated in me each time. I have been feeling tired and nauseas and my period is supposed to come in 2 days. What is the percentage that I will be pregnant

Hello twirlwhirl01,

Thank you for sharing your questions.

There are two times when birth control pills are not fully effective.  The first is during the time you miss taking your pills.  The second time is when you start a new kind of birth control pill.

During both of these times, the pills do not prevent pregnancy to its best capacity, giving you a good chance of getting pregnant.

If your period is irregular or you miss it, you could be pregnant and the next best thing to do is take a pregnancy test.

Let us know if you have any more questions.
