I got a little paranoid (even though I think he did not came inside me) and took the next choice pill the next day.. followed all the instructions. but now, six days later i am bleeding seems like a menstruation. What is this? is this going to be menstruation for the month of November? My next due date is 21/22. Am I going to get my period by then? I am kind of freaking out. help please.

Hi Anonymous,

You will expect to have irregular periods for at least two cycles after taking Next Choice. If you are concerned, take a pregnancy test in a week. Otherwise, all you can do is wait.

Good luck, Missie

hi empowher!

i took ecp around 2nd week of march, had bleeding after a week. been waiting for more than 3 months but no period yet, just had some brown discharges during the 1st week of may, also 1st week this june, along with on/off abdominal cramping. i took several hpt and tried blood testing - all came out negative. additionally, i have a history of having irregular period (like skipped for 2 -3 months ) since i was in college and im 24 now. hope anyone could give me some feedback. thanks!

Hi! So, I've ready the majority of these posts, and I want to express my gratitude, for it put some of my worries at ease. Now, I just want clarification to further relieve my stress.
My girlfriend and I had unprotected sex (yes, very irresponsible); it only lasted for about half a minute for reasons that are not concerning. Given the circumstances, I do not think I had time to discharge any kind of fluid; however, she opted to take Next Choice as a form of precaution (she mentioned she was ovulating). I am uninformed about my girlfriend's menstrual cycle, or menstrual cycles all together, but I am familiar with the symptoms of pregnancy. She is now experiencing nausea, breast tenderness, spotting/ early and light period, cramps, fatigue, etc which lead me to believe that which I do not wish to even think about. This is happening now after about a week or so after MY mistake and and the ingestion of Next Choice.

Are these symptoms a result of Next Choice's ingestion, or is there a possibility that the feared pregnancy is beginning to materialize within my other half's body? Furthermore, what are we to expect within the next few months in regards to her general health?

Thanks in advance, and please excuse my ignorance. I'm probably freaking out more than she is... I would bring her into this but I do not wish to bring unwarranted stress into her already stressful life. I will do so, only if you, kind woman, give me a reason to do so.

I have kinda a similar case except I took Next Choice about a week and a half before my next due period. My boyfriend and I had sex this past Sunday and I took Next Choice 2 hours after the event. he didn't come inside me, but we are worried about pre cum. I had plenty of cramps after taking it and four days later (today) it looks like I started my period. It doesn't look like spotting or anything, but a nice steady flow, just slightly less than what I normally have. I'm wondering if it's normal for my period to start so soon after taking Next Choice, and if I would get an accurat answer from a Pregnancy Test when 11 days has passed. Thanks in advance!

I have the same situation. One of my pulls fell in hot water I took it out before it was all dissolved. Is it still effective to take both pulls but one is smaller than the other meaning that the rest dissolved in water? HELP!

Im freaking out! Same story, had sex and condom broke but he did indeed pull out. Took the pill half hr later and that was 5 days ago. Most people said bleeding/spotting during this time is normal but i havnt gotten that yet. Does this mean something is wrong? =/

I took next choice but I dropped one pill and some of it chipped off. I took both pills but part of the other chipped off. Like less than a quarter of the pill. Is it still effective to take it even if some of it is missing?
