awakened with a knot of pain in sternum

feels like a fist trying to move upward, stops toward collarbone...slight pain into left jaw...only lasts for about 30-45 seconds... has happened twice, weeks apart

Anon - Many things can cause sternum pain including strained muscles, injured ribs, too much exercise, and even bone or breast cancer. Pain in this area needs to be taken seriously, and you need to be seen by a medical professional as soon as possible. Let us know what you learn. Pat
