Is alcoholic hepatitis contagious

Hello and thank you for sharing your question.

Alcoholic hepatitis is not contagious.  It only develops in a few, (but not all) people who drink very heavily.  Other factors such as malnutrition, genetic factors, or other liver issues may increase chances of getting it in very heavy drinkers.
