Your period can begin early for so many different reasons, or no "apparent" reason at all. It is good to have your breast pain checked out, since you have not experienced this (even with previous periods and pregnancy).

Periods can change over time...gradually or suddenly. Usually if you bleed for more than 10 days in-a-row, or have excessively heavy bleeding (soaking more than one pad or tampon every hour), these would be reasons to call your doctor. Changes in your menstrual cycle can be caused from any number of environmental or lifestyle changes, including weight loss/gain, excess stress, recent illness, new medication, etc. Our hormones regulate our menstrual cycle, and these hormones are constantly reacting and interacting with their surroundings...it's actually incredible that our cycles are so regular! :-)
