When I was 32 years old, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. I had a complete hysterectomy, went through chemo and radiation. Two years later the cancer has spread to my small intestine and I had 8 feet of intestine removed. I went through chemo again and by the age of 40, I went into remission and thank God, the cancer never came back. Five years ago, I started having blurry vision and fecal incontinence. They could not figure out what was going on with me, they did find I was diabetic and had high blood pressure. Three years ago they found out I had Multiple Sclerosis. The fecal incontinence I still have and the damage was permanent. For the past year I had to catherize myself daily and now I just had surgery were they put a permanent chatherer. I have good days and I have bad days, but I still feel optimistic that I'm going to be okay. I have learned to change my life for the better of my health. I eat healthier, I do gardening and I read a lot. My memory seems affected at times, but I have become a posted note reminder. God has help me to deal with everything and everyday is a blessing from God. I have three beautiful children and 3 grandsons and they fill my life with joy.
