problems in the bedroom
I'm 28 years old married for 3 going on 4 years. Been with the same man for 6years.(We have a son together who is 4 only reason i mention this is because these problems started when he was born) i have always enjoyed sex with my husband for the most part. But now the past 6 months or so my sex drive is almost non existant. I have no clue what to do. I feel ugly I dont want him touching me. i dont want to drive him away, and this is embrassing to talk about .The only reason im on here is Im hoping im not the only one.
Hi Meme,
I had this problem after son 1 was born. It turned out, in my case, to be a side effect of the Pill. It could also be a lack of self esteem as you say you feel ugly. As embarassing as it is, grab the bull by the horns and discuss it with your husband. It maybe a great relief to finally talk about it.
Good luck

Hi meme2007,
Welcome to the EmpowHER community. I'm so sorry to hear you're feeling this way! You say that problems started after your son was born, but that your sex drive has been non-existent for the past 6 months. Has anything changed in your life in the past six months? An increase in stress, change in diet, lack of sleep, etc. Sometimes seeing a doctor to have your hormone levels checked can help to provide a solution. Trust me, I can tell you that you're not the only one experiencing this! If you do find a solution that works for you, please come back and tell us.
Best,
Danielle.

Hi,
June 28, 2012 - 9:37amDon't feel embarrassed. It probably doesn't even have anything to do with you, and is probably just a side effect from some medication you are taking. If you are seeking professional help from someone and don't feel comfortable meeting face to face with a doctor, I recommend www.healthtap.com. I just connected with a doctor in New York through HealthTap. It was mostly a test, but I sent him an image of my last brain scan. The free service that I used to love is still there too, but it has an entirely new look and feel.
