Does anyone have information about essential oils and their use for menopause symptoms?
I have suffered from night sweats for several years, on and off. I would like to explore natural ways to help relieve my symptoms.
I have used lavender oil on my pillowcase to help me sleep. Even though it's not technically for hot flashes, I feel anything to get you through the night helps.

The best essential oil is lavender, but not all lavender is created equal. Lavender Augustofolia is the one that works for calm and helps with the anxiety and flashes, sweats. At least for me also, startingat40. There are others, but you have to be careful with using essential oils they can cause an adverse or allergic reaction. Never apply essentials without mixing in a carrier oil first. Here is my recipe:
A small brown bottle
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
10 - 20 drops essential oil
Shake and apply a few drops like you would perfume or if using for wounds directly to the wound. (tea tree oil for instance)
I have not had to use HRT. Recent checks show I am healthy and hormone balanced. :) But that may not work for everyone. Diet is another important resource in menopause years.
Blessings.
