I had a c-section too. I worked out and dieted and still had the belly fat.The c-section procedure cuts across the muscle and it doesn't grow back together, thus leaving the protruding belly. I so wanted to be thinner, so I had a tummy tuck, but with a lot of pain and a huge incision across my body. I look back now and wish I had not had a tummy tuck. Liposuction would have been a better choice for me because I did not have any loose skin.... I think the surgeon was interested in the profits, not in my best interests. The incision is too high on my abdomen and I have a very hard time finding a swimsuit... and my stomach is lumpy, so now I'm trying to smooth it out with Liposonix treatments. My surgery was over 10 years ago.
July 26, 2012 - 6:57amYou have choices now that are less invasive, such as Venus Freeze and Liposonix, just to name a few. The only reason I see to have a tummy tuck would be to remove a lot of excess skin. And if that's not part of the problem, please don't do it.
Best Regards!
