Treadmill for a desk?
Hello Healthy Fit folks!
I read an article on NPR this morning on how some major corporations across the US are implementing "treadmill work stations" to try and combat some of the adverse implications of sitting at your desk for 8+ hours a day at work.

What do you guys think about this? Not sure I'd like to do my work standing up and walking - although, I do really like the idea that some company's actually recognize that employees simply cannot be behind a desk all day long!
Thoughts?
Great point Angelica! It would definitely be a little distracting to have someone marching on a treadmill next to you while you were on a conference call. I'd think they must have this secluded or in a separate office or something to at least minimize distractions and let the user have some privacy as well.

I like the concept and agree you do need to get up and move. I'm just thinking how loud and distracting this would be to others in the office? I don't know about doing it for 8 hours a day, but could see myself using it for an hour or so if one was in our office.

Also makes me wonder how easy it would be. Sometimes staying on the treadmill w/out any distractions is hard enough, so trying to type and use a mouse might be a challenge!
