I'm sorry it took so long to respond. I don't check these groups every day, and it doesn't tell me when someone has started a new thread. How are you feeling now? It's been a couple week since you posted. Have you been to see a doctor? If not, you should. There could be some kind of depression going on. Does depression run in your family that you know of? It's good you don't drink, and don't do drugs. It is really, really good that you are reaching out in this way. It shows strength and self-awareness. You can get better. Do you have hobbies? Is there anything you want to do, but haven't done yet? Now may be the time to try it (within reason, and as long as it won't be a detriment to your health). Did something happen, you think, that caused this current bout with sadness? Do you think that it could be weather related? I know I suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder when I don't see the sun for a length of days, and it's bitter cold outside. It can be hard to get up and go on those days. It's good you still try to exercise. Do you exercise in the morning or at night? It may be good to try it in the morning to get the endorphins going early in the day.
It is my hope that if you start to actively try to work on this, it will help your condition. Have you heard the saying, "fake it until you make it?" It's kind of like that. When you are taking control of something, even if you still feel crappy, maybe the feel-good emotions won't be far behind. You will not let yourself be victimized by this condition, whatever it is. But see a doctor to rule out some things first.
Hope this helps. From one who has suffered from depression in the past to another. I'm not a doctor, just someone trying to help.
