Hi Michelle:
I recently underwent a very successful breast reduction surgery and was wondering if there were other ladies on this site who might have questions about this procedure, and/or who are seeking to have it done. I would be happy to help with this since my story is quite interesting.
I am based in Los Angeles
Thank you!

I used to have 34DD’s, it was really difficult having such large breasts since I am also a very petite woman. I constantly get unwanted attention and I couldn’t wear any of the cute little clothes that I wanted without looking like a mess… and all I wanted was to be a “sexy, classy WOMAN” not an awkwardly large breasted woman. I got my Breast Reduction in FL! I’ve never been more self confident and pleased then I am now! Now summer is my favorite season!

I just had my breast reduction surgery on Monday (today is Thu), and I'm feeling great. The pain was comparable to having a great workout and being sore the next couple of days (I was more "tight" than anything). My mom made sure that I was moving around, even if it was just a lap or two around the house. We've walked to the end of the street and back, and we've also gone to the mall for a little Christmas shopping. The only issue I had was yesterday when we spent forever in the first aid aisle comparing the different sizes and styles of gauze. After staring at the fine print, the meds started to kick in, and I had to walk out to the car. I would definitely suggest walking around if you can, but don't overextend yourself.
That's all I have for now, but I'm wondering about scarring. How long do they take to fade? Also, how long does it take before I can start wearing a regular bra?

Hi Toni -- Instead of using my real name, can I use my EmpowHer account name for your story? If so, I may be interested. Thanks!

I had breast reduction surgery a couple of years ago & I don't regret it. Plus, I am 2.5 pounds lighter! Recovery is tough & painful (at least it was for me, but others have had an easier time than me) & the biggest surprise to me were the drainage tubes that I had for several days after the surgery, but it was worth it. My clothes fit better (at least my tops do!) & I'm not in pain anymore.

Hello,
My name is Toni and I work in ABC's medical unit. I'm working on a story about breast reductions due to back/shoulder/emotional pain and was wondering if any of you ladies would be interested in sharing your story with me.
thanks!

Thanks for your post, I am a size double D, and have always wanted to get a breast reduction but I hear they are very painful. I also heard they move your nipple which causes many women a loss of sensation in their nipple and that is what really scared me. I would love to know more about your experience. I understand it's fairly easy to get your insurance to pay for it if you can show it is causing you problems, did your insurance pay for it? Any info you can pass along would be greatly appreciated.

We appreciate your willingness to help others. Can you tell us a little bit more about your story? When was your surgery performed? Can you chat about the reasons you chose the surgery? How long ago was it? We look forward to your insight.
