Hypogonadism in males is a condition in which   the body doesn't produce enough testosterone — the hormone that plays a key role in masculine growth and development during puberty. In adults this can impair the sex drive  (libido)  as well as  the ability to produce sperm. This condition can also impact muscle mass and strength. In most cases the treatment is hormone replacement therapy, which comes in several forms including injections, patches, gels and implantable pellets. Your health care provider can give you additional information on the types of options available.
