Hello ! So I got my period for the first time almost a week ago , and Ive just finished yesterday . All the day trough school It felt uncomfortable “down there “ and it hurted. When I was changing I realized that I had a bump on my vagina lip and I was wondering if i should be worried . I’ve looked on the internet and I’ve found things but they all said that you only have those if you had sexual relations , Wich I didn’t . It’s very sensible and I’m worried . It’s also not the first time I’ve had one of those .

Hi Anon and thanks for your question.

Bumps and lumps on your vagina and vulva are pretty common and usually normal and nothing to worry about, but they can also indicate a medical problem.  normal, It would be best to see your medical provider if  you start to experience pain, a discharge or an odor. Otherwise the lump should go away on its own, with nothing to worry about. Take care, Pat
