Hello Keisha lee,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your concerns. A low libido in a young woman of your age is unusually. I think you would benefit from scheduling an appointment with a gynecologist, whose specialty if female reproductive health.

Keisha lee, some birth control pills can decrease the intensity of sexual drive and sensations. Birth control pills that contain estrogen and progesterone increase sex-binding globulin, a protein in the blood stream that binds with our testosterone. Testosterone is one of the central hormones of desire.

I hope this information is helpful. A change in birth control may be the remedy.

Regards,
Maryann
