My period is delayed

i have a 30 day cycle for my period
And usually at the beginning of the month around the 2nd to the 8th is my fertility window.
My period was expected to come on the 21st an I had protected sex 4 days before my period and honestly it wasn't for long so I am highly doubting that there was any complications like if the condom broke. But now I'm 8 days late. I took a pregnancy test when I was 7 days late and it came back negative but up to now I haven't had my period. I am so scared :(

Hi, so I had sex today and the condom broke and my calendar says I’m in my ovulation window, it also says tomorrow is my ovulation day. I used to take prostinor 2 before so my cycle is kind of messed up so I don’t know if it’s accurate but I am really scared still. I took prostinor 2 as soon as we were done and I don’t know if it’ll work. I don’t know what to do. Will it work ?

Hello kmahabir123

Thank you for writing.

Sex four days before a period is due rarely results in pregnancy when a woman is regular, as you seem to be. Your test has confirmed this. Plenty of other things delay periods like stress, medications, lifestyle changes, illness or just a change in body chemistry. If you don't get your period by next week, give your doctor a call. But pregnancy should not be a concern - additionally you had protected sex.

If I don't get it by next week, and I take another test during next week. Would that test be accurate ?

Yes, you test would be very accurate. In fact, tests are highly accurate as soon as the day a period is missed. Try not to worry too much.
