Tina and Joanna,

Great comments Joanna and Tina. Joanna, you are so right about your hair getting bored. I think that's why the lead news story we had on the site yesterday, is appropriate for us as a health site.

After reading the story, it made me really think about women and their hair. It's so much a part of us and sometimes I wonder if we aren't spending too much time and money, trying to take care of it.

Will we ever have perfect hair days..every day?? Hmmm... who knows. But in the mean time it's nice to know about products and tips that will help us look our best and not spend a boat load of money.

I can tell you this much, Tina,.....It used to take me a half an hour to dry my hair. With my new products that have better, more natural ingredients, it's cut my blow dry time down to 10 minutes.

TK...EmpowHer's hair advocate... is the one who turned me onto these products. She recommends them for her clients who have hair extensions and or are experiencing hair loss. She thinks what you use on your hair has great impact on your scalp. Also, what you eat has great impact on your hair.

So, I'll bet you wondering what I'm using....Well, lets see what other women are recommending. Stay tuned...
More to come. Maybe we should get TK to comment on this as well! You may also want to check out this article about how science may banish bad hair days.

I use a deep-moisture daily conditioner (in a tube, normally Paul Mitchell) every other day. If I use it every day, my hair gets too flat. I have a lot of hair, but it is thin. I also try to mix up the products that I use sometimes, because my hair seems to actually respond better sometimes after a product shift (it's almost like my hair gets bored!).

Sounds like the product isn't working with your ph.. First step ,good clairifier with keratin protein treatment .. Flatness means clarify with only sulfate free shampoo and conditioner alternating with a weekly scalp cleanse.Tubes usually mean too much coating the cuticle with heavy topical products.Your hair will respond when you swtich that's a given just like when u change your diet or skincare line.Start on a good sulfate free ph balanced hair skin care and water regimen with proper supplements.I have a prefered line I recommend, with the balanced amount of biotin collagen and and a few other essential micronutrients which are critical to maintaining natural beauty..and your hair will respond happily..

Fun question. I use a ton of different products and don't stay loyal to one brand. I like Aveda, Biolage, Pantene and Bumble and Bumble. It just depends on what I feel like doing. Tips? Don't really have any ... But will look forward to any ideas someone is willing to send my way. I have thick, wavy hair, so if someone has found a product that works that doesn't require 15 minutes of blow-drying, I'm ready. Thanks.

First we need to get loyal!!! Contrary to belief switching it up isn't really beneficial.. Its improper use of the wrong thing.. Sulfites are a hugeeeee ingredient in many products.. Causes a wide range of side affects.. And hairloss can occur..and throw out that blow dryer!!!! Air dri and flat iron hair which is positive ions and specific nanoshepe irons are negative and the coexist... Email me for few samples of my sulfate free products and a few liquid vitamin samples with akaline water to send you..remeber everything you injest you digest as well as topical creams lotions hair products perfumes makeup and water!!! Yes water!!!! These are only a few culprits the air, water, environment, stress, all deplet the body and is expelled throug hair skin and nails.... Remeber we are whatwe eat...
