Hi I had intercouse with my bf 5 days after my period we use protection an after I took postinor 2 pills beacause I think precum got on my virginia I took one pill a few minutes after an the other 12 hours after that but I am spotting brown an I am getting lower back an belly pains is this normal? I don't want to get pregnant

i had unprotected sex with my bf and he ejaculated in me several times.. i took both postinor 2 pills at one go immediately after sex.. will this prevent me from getting pregnant ?

Research shows that progestin-only emergency contraceptive pills (also called "morning after pills" or "day after pills") are equally effective if you take the two doses at the same time, take them 12 hours apart as recommended, or wait as long as 24 hours to take the second dose.
You will know it worked once you get your period or have some vaginal bleeding.

Hi, m period was due on July 23, I have taken HPTs and two blood pregnancy tests that all returned negative, I have had no form of bleeding since I took postinor 2 on 3rd of July, could I be pregnant or is it the pills delaying my period for over a week, I am really worried.

Since you have taken two blood pregnancy tests, I am assuming you have contacted your physician or visited a clinic about this. Please reach out to the person you saw, your physician or clinic worker and ask about this.
If all the pregnancy test results were negative, I suspect a hormonal imbalance caused by taking Postinor 2.

Have you had any vaginal bleeding since taking Postinor 2?
Did you take both tests in the morning? Did you test using the urine when you first woke up and used the bathroom? Did you follow the directions carefully?
If you have not had your period or any vaginal bleeding since taking the pill and tested properly, you can believe the results and you are pregnant.

Yes, you were still protected. Postinor 2 is an emergency contraceptive which prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation.
It is intended for emergency use only. Do not use it as your only birth control method.
If you have no vaginal bleeding within three weeks of taking it, test for pregnancy.

Postinor 2 prevents ovulation only for the one time or that one month. It will not prevent you from becoming pregnant in the future.
