hello! i will be 35 soon. and 2 weeks ago i felt pain on the upper right part of my breast, and when i felt it it was so tender full of soft and hard lump at the same time. i heard that if you feel the other breast is like a mirror that if the lumps is the same on the opposite breast is more likely benign lumps. so that kinda assure me that it is ok and maybe its because my period was just around the corner. but what is scaring me so much is the lump in my armpit next to ther right breast that was painful. i felt my armpit and the lump on my armpit was mild tender that time. 2 days after i dont have the pain on my right breast anymore but the lump that i felt on my armpit is still there. its very mobile very soft like soft grape. i am very scared what it is. it hasnt gone down in size and it dont hurt at all. i had a doctor appt to check it out but i ended up cancelling it because i want to finish my menstrual period first and see if it goes away. could a very soft mobile painless lump be something serious? pleae help me> thank you for all the time

same thing happen here but i can rule out allergy or any kind of infection that i know of. the lump is very soft and very mobile. the wuestion is is it possible that the very soft and very mobile no tender node can mean cancer? because all i heard is that hard lump non tender non mobile one are most likely cqancer node

That is a very general rule, but does not always apply to everyone, which is why it still a good idea to have it examined by a doctor to be certain.

Hello and thank you for choosing EmpowHer,
October 17, 2015 - 11:29amLumps around the breast/armpit area can be caused by a swollen/tender lymph node. Causes can include infection, or allergies. It can be a potential indicator of breast cancer, which is why it is wise to see a doctor to determine to nature and cause of the lump.
If the lump is benign, you do not need treatment. If it is caused by allergies, or infection the doctor may prescribe a treatment.
