We all need to contact cdc to report this. As of yesterday no reports of anyone getting shingles after flu shot. The website is www.vaers.hhs.gov. I'm doing it today!

I reported to vaers this morning, although, the company my vaccine came from was not listed. I also reported it direct to the vaccine company. I doubt that it will help, although if enough ppl report it... They may issue a warning label. The role of vaccine company seems to be to make the cause being from something else and not related to the vaccines, which may be true, but compromised immunity due to the flu vaccine. I was specifically told its role is to boost immunity not lower it.

On 10/23/15 I received my flu vaccine exactly two weeks later I also developed shingles. Time off work now at 3 days, dr appointments piling up, now an eye doctor for my weeping eye due to breakout being so close. Not very encouraging to ever have another vaccine.

Same story here. Exactly 2 weeks after shot I got shingles near my eye and on forehead. After cost of immediate care, eye doctor, medication and going to be missing work, I hope class action lawsuit!! Never getting shot again and canceling kids shot!

I never had problems with the flu shot and have never had shingles. I received the extra strength flu shot and a few weeks later I got shingles. This seems to be more common than I'd thought.

I also had the flu shot 20 days ago. Started to have a bufning pain on my back 7 days ago and developed rashes on my back Tuesday. Went to my PCP today and confirmed shingles. I am a healthy 41 year old.

i thought im the only one that suffer from this painful blisters after receiving flu jabs. About 10-12 days ago i received my first flu jabs, i am perfectly healthy, 30 year old, not immunocompromised. Now ive got shingles to deal with. Not ever again for flu jabs!

I live in So Cal, a girlfriend lives in Kansas. We coincidentally had flu shots on the same day about 2 weeks ago, and both of us were diagnosed with shingles yesterday.
We are healthy, no underlying diseases or immuno compromised.

Both of us are RNs.

This is precisely what happened to me. I'd never had any issues with shingles and had also never taken the flu vaccine. I was urged to do so and shortly afterwards(maybe 1 wk) I developed terrible pain in my back which turned into a rash. The rash was diagnosed as shingles.

I just got the "extra-strength" flu shot on Thursday, (apparently recommended for those of us over 65) and on Friday evening my right lower leg began to itch and get very red. Now its Sunday, with the itching and redness getting worse. I will see the doc tomorrow, but have a very sneaking suspicion that I've got shingles. My older brother got two bouts of shingles in the relative same location several years ago. I am 67 and got the vaccine against getting shingles when I was 60, go figure! I am otherwise a very healthy individual, taking no medications, only vitamin supplements. So my inclination is to think that like several others have said, the flu vaccine kick-started my white blood cells to fight the "flu" but also somehow provided an opening for the dormant shingles virus to reactivate.
