Hello, Anon.

Thank you for posting.

I'm sorry this happened to you. If you haven't already, notify the doctor that performed the peel that you had to seek medical treatment.

For the benefit of our readers - chemical peels are a common type of beauty treatment that can be used to treat age spots, some scars and other areas of unusual pigmentation on the skin. Chemical peels work by mildly burning the skin, using acid, to help with pigmentation problems.

It will take time for the skin to heal. Even with the medication. A superficial facial burn can take 7 – 14 days to heal or longer depending on how severe and deep the burn is, what type of products were used, and your skin's sensitivity.

You can apply cool compresses to the area (not cold). Avoid using scented creams/lotions on your skin until it's healed which can cause more irritation. Ask your doctor if applying (pure) aloe vera gel might also be helpful. Continue to take the medications your doctor has prescribed and call him or her with any concerns. In time, the blisters will heal, Anon.
