Hello Anon

Thank you for your question - it's an interesting one.

Conjunctivitis (also known as "pink eye") is an inflammation of the membrane covering the white part of your eye, is usually caused by an infection. Wearing soft contact lenses can make you more likely to get pink eye.

But it can also be caused by allergies including pollen, or smoke or even dust. Swimming in chlorinated pools can also be a cause.

You may need an additional bottle of eye drops. If you feel there is a certain irritant that is causing this - stay away from it as best you can and remember that pink eye is very contagious. If this doesn't clear up within a couple of weeks, you may need to talk with your doctor.

Best,
Susan
