Did you do anything to remove the callus or did it disappear on it's own and leave a hole?
Are you sure it was a callus? Calluses can be fairly easily removed via a pumice stone or foot file. Plantar warts look very like calluses and if they leave, there can be a pitted area left underneath. These warts can sometimes fall off on their own. How deep is the hole?
