What caused the fever? What treatment/medications were you given? Ear infection, sinus infection, and ear wax are common causes of hearing loss that rarely cause permanent damage. You can try over-the-counter kits for simple ear wax removal, or have a doctor remove the wax (if that is the cause) we cannot know. Otherwise, all other causes of hearing loss should be evaluated by your doctor.
