Sometimes, a blister will form after cryotherapy. It if does, it's best to cover it with a band-aid to protect it. The destroyed epidermal cells form the roof of the blister. The normal new cells migrate in from the sides and cover the floor of the blister. This reestablishes the normal skin.
It's best not break it or pierce it with needles or pins. The blister may be filled with clear fluid like water or with blood which is normal. However, the blister should not have pus in it. If pus develops, this is a sign of infection and needs to be treated. Even if pus is not present, it's a good idea to call the doctor and ask how long the area should be weeping.
