Pimples can be red, swollen and filled with pus by their very nature. They can also hurt. Symptoms of infection can be similar. Where is the pimple - on your face? How long has it been there? Pimples should start to heal within a week of surfacing but some can take weeks or even months to leave properly. Some leave scars. If this has been going on for sometime, please talk to a dermatologist.
