MRSA is spread by contact. So, a person could get MRSA by touching another person who has it on the skin. Or you could get it by touching objects that have the bacteria on them. What did your doctor say about taking care of your grandchildren? I would be extremely careful. Until you can ask your doctor, you might want to keep the area bandaged.
