The amount smoked per day does directly impact a person's health. A three pack a day smoker may succumb to illness faster than someone who smokes half a pack, for example.

Six cigarettes per day could result in many lung diseases like cancer or COPD, or a heart attack or stroke. If you need help quitting, there are many smoking cessation programs. Your doctor can help you further or try an online program.
