To begin with, schedule an evaluation with a neurologist. Diagnostic imaging such as a MRI will show areas of the brain where lesions or damage has occurred as a result of the hypoxia. You might be referred to a psychologist who can administer a battery of tests to identify any functional damage in the brain.
