Temporomandibular joint and muscle disorders, commonly called "TMJ," are a group of conditions that cause pain and dysfunction in the jaw joint and the muscles that control jaw movement and tends to be more common in women than men.

Generally, the symptoms are temporary and eventually goes away without treatment. Are you experiencing any pain?

Make an appointment to be seen by your doctor. Even though the clicking and pain are generally temporary, there are some cases where significant long term symptoms can occur.
